Open Space

What is Open Space?

Open Space is an exhibition program at Galerie Paul Scherzer, where artists can use the gallery's spaces for a limited period of time. From group exhibitions to documentation of artistic work in a professional setting, the gallery's open space is intended to be a space of possibilities where artists can explore new approaches.

Who is Open Space aimed at?

Open Space is aimed at professional artists of all disciplines, including exhibition teams, curators, individual artists, and graduate and master students at art schools.

How does Open Space work?

Artists can apply for the OpenSpace exhibition program with a portfolio or concept. The maximum duration of a slot is one month. Fees are billed on a daily or weekly basis. Students receive space at a discounted rate. Participants organize and manage the exhibitions themselves. This includes curation, setup and dismantling, promotion, and supervision.
